Families struggle in 2008

What a generous New Year present for struggling British families in 2008. Rail fares up 10%+; energy prices up 10%+; car costs up 10%+; food and essentials up 10%+; council tax up? - you bet; other stealth taxes up this year? - of course; general inflation now up 4%+ but it'll go higher. Now, let's look at workers' wages - up 2%. That means we'll all be worse off (except MPs, of course, who'll award themselves the full 10%!). Brown is doing what Labour is best at; turning Britain rapidly from a high wage, low cost first world society into a low wage, high cost third world disaster. Won't someone please rid Britain of this incompetent Prime Minister?
