Archbishop´s Sharia gaff

Rowan Williams is a good and holy man but in this age of instant blaring headlines no one has time to examine the detail of his words, or cares to. The Archbishop must realise this and find better advisers. The key facts he must realise are these: firstly, that Britain is an historically Christian nation and our laws are based on Christian teachings; secondly, the British people are tolerant of other faiths, unlike the home countries of many of those different faiths, and as long as followers of other faiths are prepared to accept British laws and live under them in peace, then that tolerance will continue.
